OMGosh! I  have been blog hopping and I realized my classmates are kickin my behind!!

I also realized my wonderful mentor and coach Dean Holland has started a little miniseries on how to get started in Internet Marketing!! How cool is that? He has his own show called “The Believe and Achieve Show” and it has already started! You need to watch this video! He is so cool and so full of life!

Dean is going to be helping folks every week start their own Internet Marketing business for FREE!!! That’s amazing!

Anyway I just wanted to put this up here so everyone could watch his video and get in on the awesome teaching from the very awesome Dean Holland.

I gotta get back to my training videos and TAKE NOTES!!

Goodness! I have been away for a bit, life happens! Wedding reception, car broke, new tires, dogs and KIDS! 5 of them!(kids, not dogs) Been a real busy week, but I did get to finally watch the videos that Dean made for us. AND (drum roll please) I am over 1000 followers on TWITTER!!!

So we are in module 3 of Dean Holland’s Starting with Marketing and it’s all about TRAFFIC! Dean made us some videos about the different ways he gets traffic to his site and he’s doing pretty well! We all know if you want to be an internet marketer, you gotta have traffic to your website!

My favorite is blog hopping, it is where you visit blogs, and leave comments on them. Not just any blog, but blogs in your chosen field or ‘niche’. Your name is shown as a link to your website (in your comment) and people can read your comment and click on your name.  That will take them to the website you entered when you left the comment! Cool, huh? It’s called TRAFFIC!!I love to surf the blogs and leave comments. I really like reading what other people are doing and saying, I could get lost in it!!

Dean also talked about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Still a little fuzzy there, but we are going to have a special guest who is an expert in SEO come talk to us on a webinar! Good thing because I don’t understand too much about SEO and it is something I have always wanted to learn!! And the coolest thing about all of this??? The expert is a friend of mine!! Woo-Hoo! I didn’t even know he was the expert on SEO!! (maybe I should read my emails?!?)

Dean also said don’t write blog posts for the search engines!! We need to write our own blog posts naturally, (can you tell??) Little by little the search engines will find us! This is so NOT a get rich quick scheme! And it’s so much FUN!

I joined Dean Holland’s Starting With Marketing course because I want to stay home with my kids…all five of them. I love the internet and Internet Marketing really appealed to me. A friend of mine had told me about Deans program and I just had to sign up! I mean Dean has been kickin butt and he offered to show people how to get going on the internet! How cool is that?

We are almost halfway through right now and this is what I got so far.

We have been learning all about blog posting, plugins, Twitter and other social media.

Ok now, I have my blog up and just finding a theme, well that is a job in itself! It’s kinda like shopping for a new purse! YAY! What color, 2 columns, 3 columns, left side, right side…HUH???

So I asked around in the Starting With Marketing forum and this is what one of the coolest people I have ever met, Brian Wolfe aka Sick Hippie came up with. Looks good huh?

Then we have to optimize the blog. You know, plugins to make it do what it’s supposed to do! SEO (Search Engine Optimization) stuff so y’all can find us!(Google, too!) That was very cool! Learned something new and it was very easy. More about that later.

Then in our second module, we went over Social Media. Now, I thought I knew something about social media, but I still have a lot to learn! I was following and unfollowing people on Twitter one by one and talking to all of them! Now that’s cool for building relationships, but very time consuming! Facebook too!!

There are so many different ways to tweet!! You can even tweet and have it post on Facebook! YAY!

There are a ton of applications to help you tweet!! I would have to write a book to tell you about them all!! HMMM….might be a good idea, I’ll get back to you on that!

Now, module three is going to be real new for me (and exciting!) Traffic! Ya gotta get the folks to the blog! I don’t know anything about traffic or analytics or anything, but I am gonna learn it and let y’all know right here how it goes. Believe me, I am opening myself up here, so if I am gonna look like a newbie, y’all will see it here first!!

So when I started about three weeks ago, I had no blog, no plugins and no traffic. Now I have the blog up, optimized, more twitter friends, more new friends and traffic coming up!
