Fix Your Images
This is TOO COOL!! =)
Do your images on your blog sometime run into the text? Like this?
Well, look what I learned! Put a border around it! And it’s so EASY!! YAY!
Here ya go. Some little step-by-step info! ( I should probably video this, but I am not there quite yet!!)
First of all, when you upload a picture and then it shows up on the Edit Post page Click on the picture to edit
Go to the Advanced Settings tab
Where it says image properties, put a 10 (as in 10 pixels) in each of the 3 boxes.
Now if your image is light, you can change the color to white or if the image is darker and you might want a black border, so you can just leave it like it is! Or test it out with other colors. I have tried using gray, red, blue and so on. I just put a color in there to see what it looks like.
You want to make sure you update!!
Here is the blog post with the border so the text doesn’t run into the image. Cool.
I am learning so much as I go through my blogging adventures! I am no kind of web techie, but there are so many little tweaks to truly make your blog your own! It’s kinds fun learning new things!
I really want my blog to be the coolest blog on the planet!! If you are a newbie and need some help, let me know. Just leave me a comment below and I will help you out the best I can!! =) But remember, I am learning too…maybe we can help each other.
What do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know. I am really having fun with this and I hope you are too!
Have a wonderful day!!
Lisa~
P.S. Did ya like how I used the coolest baby in the world’s picture on this post?? He ROCKS!!

Hey Ralph! How are you doing over there on the freezing cold side? Thanks for stopping by and checking out the post! I get so excited when I learn new things!!
@Keith, thanks for that link! I love free and if it helps…even better!! I will check it out this weekend when I get a minute! I am also gonna learn to Camtasia! Pretty excited about that! Maybe I will make this into a movie! YAY!
@Mandy Thank you for your kind words! I am lovin this journey!!
@Katia I love to help people out! It’s nice when they say ‘COOL!’ And these little blog tweaks are really ‘COOL!”
@Betty ‘real neat’ is also cool! Thanks!!
@DJ I sometimes think I may be a techie, but I still get scared of the cpanel! and FTP! Maybe because I am still new!!
You also have a handful of babies over there! Kids are amazing and they still surprise me with what they do!! I have kids that are still little 9 11 16 16 19 and now the g-baby is 3 weeks old!! (Funny how g-babies are different than your own kids! G-ma gets to spoil him!!) My 16 y/o are not twins, they are step brother/sister, but all the same to me! KIDS ROCK!!
Thank you wonderful folks for stopping by and checking out the blog! And thank you for all your kind words and help!
If you need anything, let me know!!
I am off to check out all your cool blogs!
Take care and God bless!!

Great post Lisa, you seem to be like a duck to water with the techie side of running your blog. Johns teachings are precise and to the point, I think that’s why we all seem to progress much faster than we thought we could.
Another little tip here worth mentioning is that if you have a large pic you want to upload to your blog/site then this nifty little free tool will resize your pic to any size required and also change format if you want..jpg,tiff,png,gif etc etc. You can get it from:
http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm
It’s only 3mb and worth it’s weight in gold so to speak.
Have a great time & speak soon

You are 110% correct about GrandBabies! I am blessed with 5.
Although they are not so much babies anymore: 8, 8, 6, 4, 3
Yes, the 8 & 8 are twins. That’s how I started into my
GrandBabies world!
The best advice I read just recently:
“Everyday is a piece of a Lifetime. Live it to it’s fullest.”
Those babies grow up so fast! Yet, they become more and more amazing with each and every day of their lives!
“I love you Nana” is the best words in the whole world!
Thank you so much for your info. You sound like a techie to me!
Hang in there and you soon won’t have to explain that you are not a techie, because you WILL be a techie!
Much success to you (and yours!)

Hi Lisa!
)
Finally got around to your blog again (my bad).
Too much stripping leaves me little time… (uh, inside joke, it’s not what you think
Anywho, sometimes things are hiding right in front of your face. I have seen the picture editing menu and have used it in the past, but never noticed the border thing. You’ve taught me something new. Thanks! Keep ‘em coming.
Thanks,
Ed

I’m sorry Shawn. I knew I was talking to you!! I still love the green blog! Go into your comments and edit that so folks don’t think you have a twin!! Or they don’t think I am CRAZY!!
I am curious to know how your IM Mentors is going. Any better for you?? Have you been to the masterclass Forum lately??
Take care and I promise to get your name right next time!! =)

Hi Barry! I will definitely check out that link! Thanks for posting it. I am looking into getting Camtasia, just haven’t had a minute to do that! With all these kids and a f/t job, my time is very limited!! I think it would be so much easier to video my little blog tweaks than do all these images! I will be looking you up when I need some Camtasia help…OK??
Hello John,
I am glad this post told you something you didn’t’ know! I sometimes think folks already know this stuff, so why post it? Then I realize I didn’t’ know it and there are probably a gazillion other people who didn’t know it either!!
to both of you…
Thanks for stopping by and I will see you in the coolest forum around!!
Happy Easter!!
