How Did I Get HERE??
I haven’t been here for a bit and first I want to say sorry. I know there are some readers who have been waiting for a post and I haven’t delivered. Forgive me! Maybe after this post, you will know why!!
<<<<little incentive to get you to read the whole thing!!
Some friends of mine are having a “challenge” to see if we can get 100 blog comments on one post. This is my post, so comment away!!
Have you seen any “about me” pages? You know, the pages where you can go to read about the blogs owner/writer? Well, I don’t have one. My readers and subscribers don’t know who I am. Everyone should have a page where their subscribers can get to know them and be able to know that the person writing the blog is a real person and not some bot or script. So here goes…
I am Lisa Hernandez (y’all know that) and I live in Southern California. I have 6 kids, 2 grand babies and 3 dogs (2 Cocker Spaniels and Terrier poodle). I have been married almost 9 years to my hubster
Tony. No, I didn’t have those kids in the last 9 years!! My youngest is 9 and she’s was given to me by the grace of God a couple of years ago. Love that little gal!!
My family calls me Roonie (and other variables, we are from the Midwest) Roon, Roonie-toon, Aunt Roonie, G-ma Roonie, etc…hence the domain name www.RoonieHernandez.com
Y’all can call me Roonie, but Lisa will be fine and will probably get you an answer faster!
K, so why am I here?? Or how did I get here?
On a fluke in 2009, I came across Twitter at a Joyce Meyer Conference. I had never heard of it and thought it was the coolest site out there! So many people and so many good links they were tweeting! I was in heaven; I am a news junkie and love the news from all over the world. Twitter had it all!!
I saw that people were tweeting about making money at home. I have tried most of my adult life to make money at home (Amway, Avon, Pampered Chef, Monavie, etc…) I have been working for years for someone else and I thought if I could make money at home from the computer…life would be good! I could stay at home with the kids and watch the dollars roll in! (BONK!! WRONG ANSWER! It takes time and effort to get started.)
I have no problems meeting new people on the social sites, so I thought how hard can that be? I can meet new people and make some money doing it! I got my first 900 Twitter followers by talking to people everyday and manually following them! Talk about some work!! (I have since automated!! Still get on there 2-3 times a week).
So I set out to get my own website…didn’t know a darn thing about them, called some website people and they wanted anywhere from 1200.00 to 3500.00 dollars to set up my site!! Well, THAT thought went out the window! I didn’t know anything about blogging or WordPress. (Gives all the newbies some HOPE!!)
Then I met a really cool guy, Adam Spiel of Pro Host Management (on Twitter, cause I talk to everyone!!) and he said I could go to his site and order a website package with hosting and everything for about 30 bucks a month! He was having a special on his packages and that would be the package for me! I told him I didn’t even have a site and he said no problem, we’ll get you one!
So I did! And I called him all the time asking him what to do next. He said get a squeeze page. I say “What the heck is a squeeze page?” He said write a report. I say “On what? I don’t know anything!”
My first site (which I haven’t done anything with in over a year) is www.cookingwithroonie.com (love to cook, hate to blog about it!!) Y’all can check it out, but it needs some TLC!
I didn’t understand what it meant to find a problem and fix it. So Adam suggested I get a mentor. OK so now I need a mentor! Well, crap! I am thinking, what the heck is a mentor??
Adam knew a guy by the name of Dean Holland from this big guru type guy, Alex Jeffreys. I couldn’t afford Alex Jeffreys at the time, and Dean had been through AJ’s class and was making it big! So I joined Dean Holland’s Starting With Marketing Class. That class taught me how to set up my blog and gave me a free gift to start building my list. OK, Cool.
But I need my own product. I can only give away someone else’s product for a short time.
I needed a product to attach a squeeze page to! My squeeze page! So in my Twitter and Google searching days, I found John Thornhill. Now, me being the diligent marketer I am… I Google EVERYONE!! So John Thornhill got Googled and Googled because his class is a little more than I wanted to spend (after buying all the crap that I thought was gonna help me out) and then he got Googled again! There is nothing I could find that say anything bad or scammy about JT. I love him! I even discussed the class with my hubby who doesn’t know anything about Internet Marketing and doesn’t care!
So I took the plunge! John Thornhill’s Masterclass! (You can too, for real cheap! 4.95 trial if you want to!)
In JT’s class, I am learning what it is to be a real Internet Marketer. The highs and lows, the good and bad. I am learning what to do and what NOT to do. I am also learning how to make my OWN product.
From a factory worker who wanted something more out of life. Like me. Like YOU!
Now that’s cool.
Wanna know where I’ve been lately? Taking care of kids, dogs and babies. When I get home from work every night, I don’t know what I will find. With 6 kids, every day has different challenges, fun and excitement! Some days are better than others, but everyday is AWESOME!!
Just wish I could get to the computer more often!!
What does your “about me” page say about you? Do YOUR readers know who you are?? Where you came from?? How you got started?
How did you get HERE?? Right here on my Blog?
Let me know!
Comments are cool. Oh and….Share the love!! Tweet, Stumble, Digg…whatever!

Hi ‘LISA’
Nicely written post..I feel like I know you a bit more now…which I guess is the point of the about me page.
Have you visited John Edwards blog? Ed had an ‘About You’ page, which I really liked the idea of
I hope the MC course is going well for you and I’m looking forward to hearing about your successes on the Forum.

Great post, Lisa, and nice to get to know you. I love cocker spaniels, had one for years. Now I have a cavalier king charles, Daisy, she’s on my ‘about me’ page, take a look, she’s such a cutie. John is great, really good value, I too am very pleased I found him, and lucky for me it was the first course I signed up for. I’ve never done another because I haven’t felt the need to.
Good luck with the challenge – I’ve added you to my links page.
Enjoy the journey.

Hey! My Friend.
Fantastic post, as usual.
I love Barry Wells idea of Mama Roo.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again and… Where do you get the time and the energy for internet marketing??? You amaze me gal!
Love to all your family.
And when we make it big we will hold a party half way between you home and mine.:-) (I think we might get a bit wet tho’).
Speak soon Honey.

Hey Lisa. Another great post. I did not notice that you did not have an about my page… OH SNAP! I have to pay more attention to things. I like your story, because I knew you when you didn’t know much, but now you are an inspiration to newbies… and me too.
You didn’t mention that you wake up at 4:30 AM to get on the computer to build your business. That’s dedication!
Again, great job, and you are here because God got you here, and at some point in your life you decided to actually look for another way. A way out. A way to break away from the crown. To break away from the “normal” 9 – 5 crowd. You have dreams and you are following them. If you never open your eyes and look, you will never find anything. Keep on trucking. I have no doubt you will succeed.
All the best,
Ed Rubi
Hi Lisa,
You are so much fun! Wow 6 kids! How in the world do you find time to do IM? I think I’ll quit complaining about anything…
That is just a great story you just told. I didn’t know you were a grandma…me too!
And, I totally agree that JT is the best ever marketer. We all love him!
Every blog needs to have an “about me” page filled in…I love reading those!
Kathy
Hi Lisa,
Nice post. It’s good to get to know you a little better.
Wow, thats a lot of kids/grandkids. You have your hands full. It’s no wonder you don’t find much time to blog.
I’m anxious to hear more about what it is like to be a REAL internet marketer. Please, tell us a little about what you are learning from John Thornhill in your next post.

Seriously though – with the chats we’ve had I too am not surprised at how many friends you’re making online. I can’t see it being long before you have your own following and some social media products to share…lol
If I didn’t know that you get up before you go to bed… I’d wonder how on earth you manage to find time to fit the internet in along with all the family stuff you have to do!!
That really is dedication that deserves success

Hi Lisa,
As the song goes “It Never Rains in Southern California” – Albert Hammond, I think. Yep. Just checked that little fact on Google. Well I’ve been to California quite a few times. I have a good friend who lives in Mariposa and yesterday I was wearing the t-shirt I bought from the Yosemite Valley last time I was there – wow – what a wonderful place that was, bears and all.
I gotta say two of my favorite places I’ve ever been to are Santa Barbara and Monterey. I’ve spent some time in each and they are really nice.
Spielsy, Deano and Gangsta Jeffreys are all friends of mine. I’ve been in Las vegas with those guys and a heap of other marketers twice now. We get up to all sorts of mischief. Last time I organized for myself and 11 other guys to go to the shooting range. It was the first time most of them had even fired a gun let alone machine guns. It was pretty funny coz I decided that some of the guys were too p155ed to drive Vipers which was what the plan originally was. So we went shooting instead. How silly is that? LOL.
Anyway, I have two little pupsters of my own – a King Charles Cavalier Shitzu cross (who certainly lives up to her breed – the SHITzu part) and a Maltese Lhasa Apso (who’s a grumpy bum at the best of times).
Good luck with your comment target.
Hope you are still enjoying the PD course Lisa. TTYL.

@Gary What can I say? Love you, love your blog! Your PD course is amazing! I am gonna write about it next…oh SNAP! I have Allen asking about what I am learning in JT’s class too! y’all are so cool…keeping me in blog posts for a while!!
I can’t wait to get to Vegas and meet all of you. When ever that’s gonna be! Saving my dinero so there are no hiccups.
No guns for me, k? Vipers, either. I will just stand by the wayside and watch y’all make fools of yourselves! (I could take a video or 2 and really have something to sell!!) hahaha! How many of y’alls subscribers would pay to see all the action?!?!?! Hmmmm….
If any of you blog readers haven’t seen Gary’s blog….go check it out when you get the chance. He’s AMAZING!! Gary’s Site
@Terry Goodness, you make it sound like I am sick or helpless!! Having all these kids is a blessing! God must have thought I was a pretty good mom to give me all these kiddos and the ways and means to feed them! I do have alone time…it’s like at 4:30 in the morning when the house is quiet (and cool) and the sky is dark and I can be alone with my thoughts and computer and have a go at this. Y’all call it dedication, I call it PEACE! You should try it sometime!!
@Allen, thank you so much for taking the time!! Very cool to see you on the blog! You are a wonderful, wonderful man for all the help you give!! Thank you for giving me the topic of my next blog post. Now I have 2!! Gary’s PD Course and JT’s Class. Now to just find the time…..It’s getting late here, already 5:15 am!! Better get on it!
@Kathy Hey Girl!! I find the time…just not as much as other people…and if I would get off the Twitter and Facebook, I might have MORE time!!One thing that takes a lot of time is cooking(good thing I like to cook!) for instance when I make breakfast..it’s like a dozen or so eggs, 3 pounds of potatoes and a pound or 2 of bacon or sausage and a half a loaf of bread!! These little ones can EAT! and now that they are getting older, they eat MORE! Sheesh! Better get this marketing thing down or I am gonna be in the soup line!! (Will put those guys out of business!! Oh Wait, that’s from the Government, they will do it all by themselves!!)Hahaha!
@Ed Love you! Yes, you knew me when…and you still do, but I miss you! God did get me this far and he also brought YOU into my life so we could do this TOGETHER!
You always have such good things to say and always so positive! Thank you!! I know you are successful as well! Go eBay!! Go Ed!!You ROCK!!

Thank you for adding me to your list…maybe we will make it to 100 comments, maybe we won’t but at least we are getting to know each other better than we are in the forum! This is really FUN!!
@Mandy How lucky for you to find John Thornhill the first time around!! Very cool. I think he is the best one out there for his students AND his subscribers, he’s so honest! I am gonna have to go check out your ‘about me’ page again, I should put my doggies on my page (when I finally make one!!)
@Steve I am going to go check out john Edwards’ page right now. I still have to get my page on here. Jim Cockrum put the thought in my head when he talked about the ‘about me’ page on Ebay. Not that I am an Ebayer, but hey! the blog needs it!!
Thank you all for stopping by!! An extra thought here….One of the reason’s I posted this is not only Jim Cockrum from My Silent Team, but I was also getting emails from a guy (no name here) and I thought he looked like a scammy, out-for-himself-only type guy. I was surfing around and landed on his blog. I read his about me page and just about slapped myself for being so judgmental because of the way he looked. How non-Christian and judgmental of me!! I was being an all out b-word!! Because of the way someone looks?!?!
He is a really cool, willing to help, great guy!! And here I was thinking just because of the way he looked, he must be BAD!
So….Don’t be me and DON’T be MEAN!! (I have since learned my lesson)

Hi Lisa,
This Internet Journey is one that you, I and the rest of the awesome guys here will never ever regret to embark on. Cause we are a bunch of real and sincere people here. Just like this post you have here. Is not ABOUT YOU , is only a glimpse to that Big Big Heart and Soul of yours!
And don’t feel bad about you being Judgmental and all that. Is just a natural tendency our mind work to protect us, only thing is that we could be misleading ourselves way off from the appearance. A lot of folks is saying that the internet is dangerous because is virtual and unreal which is true to a certain extend.
But I do have another point of view, because it is virtual and unreal where everybody knows it is, only those who are Very Real and Sincere will ever make it in the internet.
If it were a guy who look absolutely handsome and gorgeous but were a down right scam artist, his misdeeds will be seen around the internet with a simple search on the search engine easily. Such things will happen more often as time goes by. People are smarter and less judgmental if more real people like us are online.
Just my 2 cents opinion here.
Cheers

P/S: How Do I Get here?mmm… I know a guy name Marcus Passey who lead me to Alex Jeffreys coaching where months later someone called Sally Neil joined Alex Coaching and somehow get connected with me either from me posting a comment on her blog or she posting hers on mine and then in a Forum I saw Sally post about a 100 Blog Comments Challenge from someone called Jacinta which I jump right on and finally found you. Hey Lisa
Nice post you sound very real and down to earth person, something that quite often seems to be lacking with all the razmataz of internet marketing. My about me page is dismal so I will have to get to work and make it sound more real. This 100 blogging challenge must be part of the Master class challenge. I dont know much about this as I am not part of it as yet, the masterclass I mean as I am still part of the 100 comment challenge.Good luck in balancing all your priorities sounds like you are a hard worker!

@Keith….hype it up a bit! just kidding…I really think it’s way important to let our readers know who we are. And I am hoping the kids WANT to work!! Whether they need to or not! Now they are just lazy teenagers who like to watch TV and play video games!!

It’s kind of funny because I arrived at you site by clicking on the commentLUV link at the bottom of a comment you left on my site. When I arrived on your site, I immediately went to your about me page. I can definitely see why you are developing a great following. By the way, your blog looks awesome!
I found John Thornhill’s Masterclass last year through an email I had received from Dave Lovelace. I am not exactly sure how John and Dave became aware of each other, but it was great for me, as it gave me the opportunity to join John’s MasterClass. The cost of the class was a little scary for me, but I took a leap of faith and I am glad I did!
I have learned so much since joining and the people I have met is more than worth the price of the course. I have had many setbacks over the last few years, but some day, I hope to take John’s teachings and make him proud! Let’s hope we can all do the same.
Keep up the great work!

p.s. Don’t hate!
Hi Lisa –
Nice post which got me thinking. I was at a networking lunch in London and got talking to folks. Everyone has a different story about where they started from and how they got to be here but in so many ways they are the same. Dissatisfaction with current life, feeling that there is so much more to be had, getting scammed spending too much money on products that don’t work/aren’t targeted to where you are now and finding people you trust to follow (maybe even in a formal mentor way).
All I would say is, it is imprtant to find the RIGHT mentor for you. Like everything in life, what works for one person may NOT work for another – it depends on who you are, what you want to achieve online and what type of business you want to build.
All the best.

Hello Susan,
Isn’t it so funny(amazing) how we are all so different, but alike?
K little story here….when I go get my toes done, little pedi every now and then, I look at all the women in the nail salon and see all of the differences and uniqueness, but we are also all the same!
We all have 2 eyes, ears, hands, etc….but our smiles are different, our toes are different, we are all basically the same but different. Kind of like your story…everyone comes from a different place, but has the same goals and dreams.
And honestly…I think you hit the nail on the head with the right mentor….maybe that’s why so many people spend so much money looking for the right thing! I know I have.
take care and thanks!

Hi Lisa,

you know, in retrospect, I know I had something like two or three mentors before JT in masterclass, and this is the only time I have seen any success at all I have to say, but to be fair They both have very good systems in place its just one focused mainly on affiliate marketing and the other presented itself with too much outlay!
However I think we are now both off to a flying start!
Thanks for the visit Lisa….Ed.

Hi Lisa
Great post and a great read. Some said that the Challenge to blog hop to peoples blogs and leave comments was more like visiting friends. When I visit your blog, it is like visiting a friend and having a cuppa in the kitchen. Very welcoming and relaxed.
I must admit I agree with the other people, 6 kids, 2 grand babies, 3 dogs, a husband and a job. It’s a wonder you even know where the computer is. You should be very proud of yourself for achieving so much.
Thanks for reminding me that I should create an About Me Page – compared with yours, mine is going to be very boring.
Good luck with the Challenge and hope you are still having fun with John’s Masterclass.
Talk soon.
Take care.

Hi Lisa,
Came over from Alex’s blog. Well my about me does exist when I started blogging in May 2010. Am still learning with blogging and building a community.
Your story is an inspiration for others than anyone can give online marketing a go.
Believe me spending so much time in front of a PC can become a bit obsessive, as that is me for many yrs online.
Wish you luck and success on this endeavour, and do not give up, despite the challenges that you may face along the way. I’ve been through a fair bit myself.

Hmm I see a trend starting here Lisa! Everyone I speak to seems to say exactly what you did!
Hi Lisa nice to meet you!, you have the same size family as me (I have four stepkids, three of whome have grown up and left home, one is in his final year at school, plus two my wife and I have together a girl of 5 and boy of two, plus my two eldest stepkids have given me a grandchild each, girl of three and boy of one and a half, we dont have dogs but do have two goldfish).
Even though three have left home, one step daughter visits daily with my granddaughter, the other couple times a week with my grandson and the same with my eldest step son, although he is yet to have children himself (and we encourage him to establish himself in life before he settles down to being a dad)…
So like you we have a busy home, and yes it can be difficult at times to get on with my business, but whatever the distractions I am usually able to tailor some of my (limited) time to doing something with my business, although that has only improved in the last couple of months because I have finally managed to convince my wife that this is the only way I will be able to improve our lives and get out of the less than satisfactory situation where I am usually working 21 days straight before I take a weekend off (like your hubby she is not interested in what I am trying to do in Internet marketing, even having achieved several affiliate sales she still does not see the possibilities, but humours me nethertheless).
It can be frustrating at times but I refuse to give up on my dream, and I am making (slow) progress regardless of what obstacles life throws up along the way.
So even in our situation it is still possible to make this kind of business work, so good luck to you Lisa, hope you make your dreams come true.
Best wishes
Pete Chapman
Hello Pete!

Your home sounds as busy as mine!! One thing tho…my hubster won’t let me near the computer when he is home so my time is very limited!!
Like from 5am to 6 am before I go to work and a little on the weekends if he doesn’t wake up early!!
And the days he does wake up early….blah!! Cant get anything done!!
So tell me…how did you get your wife to agree?? I would love to hear about it!
Take care and God bless!!

Time differences in the US are crazy and I am on the West Coast, so writing to the UK is even crazier, I am 8 hours different and my friends in Australia are 17 hours different, so I hear ya on the time differences!
Thanks for stopping by and good luck!!

Hi Lisa
Thanks for stopping by. The niche thing was fun to make and very educational. I learned about how to deal with wordpress, themes and hosts and such. I am still learning how to make something worth while. The 100 blog challenge has shown me lots of aspects that I never knew about. So many angles. Most of them seem to be selling something to sell something. I don’t yet see for myself the link to finances. The niche thing has me curious. I suppose once you’ve seen it you move along and I hope another person comes along with a similar curiosity. Therefore search engines. I could do another site in a heartbeat with the right seed. But…which one? And so on : ) You know the drill.
I’m still watching for your “about me” page.
See ya.

Hi Lisa!
Jacinta Dean´s 100 Blog Post Challenge brings me here. But I first “landed” on your blog after seeing your name and comments several times on different blogs. I was reading your comments and your posts on your blog but I knew almost nothing about you (the “about me page” was missing from your blog
)!
Well its good to learn more about you on this blog post.
I remember when I used to be a newbie a few years ago. I was confused with everything. I heard about squeeze pages, autoresponders, mentoring, PLR, ebooks, copyrighting etc. What the heck are all these? Although I spent a few years trying to make money online I didn’t get a mentor and start building a list when I first heard about it. I did EVERYTHING else before investing on building my list and getting a mentor.
I am so happy to see that there are people like you that took the advantage early and learn how to be a real Internet Marketer. I was always trying to do everything my self and I made LOTS of mistakes. If you don’t make mistakes then you will never learn. I am happy with my self and that I learn from my mistakes but I lost a lot of time “wondering” and trying to get all the pieces of the puzzle together.
Well my blog readers don’t know too much about me (I cant tell everything on my “about page” ) that’s why I wrote a 29 page report telling my story revealing lots of the mistakes I made in my I.M. journey.
You can read it here if you want to: http://www.andreasspyrou.com/mystory
Take care,

Hi Lisa,
This is my first visit to your blog and I’m glad to learn more about you. Having that About page is a crucial part of marketing in the new economy. Without that personal connection, a blog comes off as just another phony marketing method. That’s a turn off to everyone.
Will you put this info into a new About page so that your viewers can easily discover that you are indeed a real person? With WP, you know it’s dead simple
I took my time creating my About page because I wanted it to be authentic & focused. It took a few revisions to get my true self to shine through, and at this point I’m happy with it. It tells my story as a person and as an internet marketer of over 10 years (the last 5 of them full time).
For anybody who is still putting this essential task aside, I want to encourage you to make it a priority. Let your awesome authentic self shine through! Share your story and see how much deeper you can connect with your tribe.
Peace,
Lauren

You can still make money with the Pampered Chef and other opportunities, but it relies on the same marketing concept as a blog does. You have to get out there and network, comment and link on blogs, and take part in forums, guest posting, and article writing. Other online opportunities can be just as fun as blogging.

Thanks for sharing about yourself. I really enjoy the way you write. You can tell you are a people person and make friends easily.
I have seen your avatar on several other blogs but never made contact with you. I got here through the 100 comment challenge.
I hope you get back to the computer more often as I would love to continue following you on your journey.
Good luck to you!

Hi Lisa,
I finally got here!
Man what a work load this challenge is! I had no idea what my little bimbo comment could create! Oops on that one!
My hubby and bubba think my fingers are glued to the keyboard.
Got to throw my hat off to you! 6 Kids, 2 grandkids, plus working and taking care of the family and you still find time to learn internet marketing!
Do you suffer insomnia or what!!
This challenge has certainly created a buzz, yes it has created a bit, no let me correct that, a massive workload for all of us, however the amazing thing is that 100 people have come together all wanting to meet each other, inspire each other and help each other out.
That is truly humbling that a little bimbo comment could do that. I wonder what I will think of for an encore???
You right about the about me page. I always look for them when I visit a blog, and often if I can’t find one, I don’t make comment on the blogs unless I know the person through forums or training. I like to get to know the people I am visiting.
Another thing is a contact form. In my travels I have noticed a lot of bloggers missing those too which makes it really hard to contact them if I wanted to.
Had better get back to my blog hopping. I have only just started!
See you back here soon!
Cheers
Jacinta

Hi Lisa,
So, what do you do in your spare time? There was a time when I was going to take a course from Alex Jeffreys, but like you, I couldn’t afford it. That’s OK though, because many months later, I was given an opportunity to join John Thornhill’s MasterClass. Thank goodness I was in a better financial situation when this opportunity presented itself and I jumped at the chance.
I look forward to dropping by your site often and see what you are up to. Have a great day!
Mark

P.S Are all the children still at home?
Hey Lisa,
I’m checking out blogs involved in the 100 comment challenge and arrived here through Jacinta Dean’s blog!!
Wow, kids, grandkids, hubby, dogs AND time to do all this blogging…do you ever sleep!
I’ve only got a fiance (wife in 4 weeks
) and 2 cats and I’m still a lazy blogger! You inspires me to do a bit more. Your 3 dogs sound cool…we’d love to get a dog but our place isn’t big enough right now so I guess keep working on the marketing
You seem like a really cool person so I’ll try make sure I drop by again.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the ‘cool’ endorsement! My kids will be happy although they will think you just said that to be nice.
Congrats on the fiance/wife upcoming marriage. It’s a huge commitment!
Glad you have decided to take the plunge (I am sure she is too!)
Your Awebextra looks awesome!
Gonna have to check it out!
Take care, good luck and God bless!
Lisa~
LOL, yeah kids can always be a bit sceptical about that…
Earlier this year I was flying to LA and ended up sitting just a few seats away from the lead singer of a MASSIVE rock band who was just returning home from a holiday with his family…
The stewardesses were pretty excited (still professional) but got photos with him and were asking him a bunch of questions….
Eventually one stewardess turned to one of the singer’s kids and said “I think your daddy’s really cool!” and the kid just started laughing…”what’s so funny?” asked the stewardess… and after a few seconds the kid simply replied…”My daddy’s a goofball!!”
Thanks for your congrats on the wedding and also for checking out Awebextra!

Hey now! My daddy was a big time President of a manufacturing company in the Midwest and I thought he was a goof ball too!! Not as popular as a rock band guy, but pretty popular in the town we were in!
When you have kids and you are a big marketer and the whole online world knows who you are…..you are gonna be a goof ball too! YAY!
Take care! (Gonna get my aweber squared away today thanks to all your help!)

Hello Lisa,
Great post and I think you have just written your ‘about me’ page. An about me page tells people about you and you just did a great job so I think you could transcribe some of the above to a separate page if you wanted. Glad you found John Thornhill too, as he and his friends are very helpful and have great advice and products so you’ve found the best mentor possible.
Good luck with your blog and life’s challenges.
Cheers

Wow! Lisa, you mentioned quite a great group of IM pros to check out, converse with, and have as a mentor! I think that any information that you manage to pull from them (and they give it out quite easily
)is a plus in your bag o’ knowledge. Creating that first project is a huge step. I know that is where I am working right now (or at least one of the things I am working on). Keep up the action, that is the most important thing!

I came here via the 100 comment challenge and I’m enjoying every minute of it – though I’m not sure how I’m ever going to reach the end by Tuesday – another obstacle to get over I suppose

What a great story Lisa!
That’s a very good idea to include “how we got here” on our About page… but sometimes it’s been so long we just cant remember LOL
Im part of the 100 comments challenge and I’m glad I made it to your blog!!

I like to hear how people got to where they are. nosy I guess.
I don’t want to know “sign up here and I will help you do this”
I wanna know who I am dealing with. What is their life like and why they even got started. Their triumphs and failures, their goals and dreams….
I am gonna be working on a real about me page pretty soon.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!
Lisa~
Hi Lisa,
I got here from the 100 comments challenge. Interesting to hear your journey. Now you can your “about me” page. When you do it, write some more about your kids, it sounds like an interesting story.

Man I wish I could do everything I would like to do with the little time I have…but I am doing my best. I know I can go to sleep at night feeling as though I have put in a full day. I’m not quite there with all the kids (I only have 3) and dogs, and grand kids, etc…but I feel tired at the end of my day nevertheless

Thanks for the post, it was a good read!

Lisa, first, thanks for stopping by my site! I apologize for being so late in reciprocating…. I had to pop over and check out cookingwithroonie.com though and the grilling tips post made me smile! The hardest thing I had to learn about cooking was to leave it alone and let the food cook. Don’t fiddle with it unnecessarily. And you know what? Everything went off better!
The reason I smile though is I had to relearn that whole philosophy when I started marketing, building sites and developing products. Quit fiddling with it, let it cook and put it on the table (or the net) for folks to enjoy!
Thanks! John

You actually went over to see the cooking blog? Cool!
My first attempt at blogging. I will get back to it someday. I love to cook! Time is a little in demand right now and I am working on a project, so it has to wait
Cooking is a big huge niche that needs some real research and micro niche finding. Cooking and recipes have billions of sites, so when I get a minute, I will be researching!
Thanks again and I hope you are having an amazing day!!

Hi Lisa,
Wow you are one busy gal I don’t know how you do it with all you have going on you must be running on a pure adrenalin rush. I used to say that I wish there were more time in the day to get things done but then again I would be wore out anyway.
Keep on keeping on Lisa.
Enjoy the Challenge.

Hi Roonie Lisa
What an entertaining and well written post, ‘About Me’ pages can sometimes be a little dull but yours was brilliant.
I’m just passing through on my journey through the “100 Blog Comments Challenge” and although I’m a day late and trailing behind most contestants, the finishing line is in site.
Good luck with the JT course, I hope it takes you where you want to go.

Hi Lisa
I agree, it’s so important to have an ‘about me’ page on your blog.
You need to be transparent if people are to trust you in IM.
I am surprised that some bloggers do not even reveal their surnames on their blogs, I certainly wouln’t buy any products off them.
Regards
Bill
Interesting post. It was really good to know where we came from. Mostly, of course we came from our humble beginning and looking back to those old good times was so overwhelming. You shared so much about your life, and I think that was good. People can easily gain their trust in you when they see your transparency and honesty in anyway.
Hi Lisa from the UK
It’s 5.29am, so I do know what you mean, and I thought “what the heck’s a Squeeze Page, OTO, SEO, etc. etc.). It makes you feel dumb, but you know you’re not. Here’s a relationship I use sometimes.
The extremes of knowledge and and attitude for newbies. You can be:
1. Naive: 2. Cynical, or (best) 3. Informed! But you’re not stupid. You just don’t have the information – yet.
I only have three (girlies), and they are my whole world (and I’m proud of that, and them), they teach me a lot.
If you pay me a visit, take a look at ‘Chaos’, and see if you can find Gerald, he’s lovely. Not what you’d expect in rural England. Oh, I have an About Me Page if you’re interested.
I’ll call back to see how your progressing, so keep pushing, and when you get to the top of the hill, sit down and watch it go.
Best wishes
Alan
PS. There’s only one ad on my site, but -
It’s excellent, I use it myself, and it’s free!

I would get paid $3 by Google if you use it, but you could do the same. Take a look.
Could help through Christmas too!
PPS. Did you say 6! Good grief.
