John Thornhills Masterclass Week 1
I have started John Thornhill’s Master Class and I am very excited! He is an awesome Internet Marketer and I am excited that he is going to be my mentor for the next 9 months!! Nine months is quite a while to have someone show you how to get everything set up! YAY!
In week 1 we set up our domains, email and uploaded files with Fantastico. We also got familiar with the cPanel. John has made step by step videos and also has given us the transcript so we can not only watch, but read what we need to do!! And just in case we need to go back and look at something, the videos are all downloadable, so I will have them forever!
I had my blog and email already set up since I took Dean Holland’s class last summer. Dean class got me all set up and Johns class will show me how to actually make my own product and promote it. Very exciting stuff!
I also have been getting a ton of help from Dave Nicolson, who is one of John’s friends and an excellent marketer and all around awesome guy!
One thing John suggested and I am passing it on to you is to read the book “The Go-Giver” by Bob Burg and John David Mann. Awesome little book and a great read. In fact I am reading it for the second time. Great story and really good advice! The book put things into perspective, not only for marketing, but for everyday life. You can get it at Amazon or Barnes & Noble for pretty cheap.
So this was my first week with John Thornhill. Very exciting ride!! Hang around a bit and see what’s next!
Take care and God Bless!!

P.S. We also get a checklist so we can check off what we have completed! Keeps me on track!

Lisa,
That’s awesome! I feel that Dean Holland has give you, and all his students in fact, a strong foundation in regard to working our way around WordPress blogs and internet marketing in general. After taking his class I found that a lot of internet marketing stuff that I did not quite understand before, I now understand.
I know it’s the same for you and I am a little jealous you could take John Thornhill’s class, as I have always wanted to, and I’ve heard he’s an awesome guy. Best of luck in the class. Let me know how it goes. I know you’ll do well.
All the best,
Ed Rubi
Hi Ed,
Yes Dean did each us a ton of stuff about these blogs, didn’t he? Good thing, because when the Permalink Structure isn’t right all ya get is 404 pages!! Finally with the help from the SWM class, I get it figured out! I was freakin out!! None of my pages were showing up!!
It’s all good now and I am also glad I got in the class. It’s been pretty cool so far. Gonna learn about Google Adwords this week. Kind of excited, since I know nothing about them!!
Take care and God bless!!
Lisa~
P.S. Ed, Take a look at Jacinta’s blog, she was in the Masterclass Last year!!
Hi Lisa,
Sounds like you are having fun learning already!
I haven’t got “The Go Giver” yet. according to my local book store a new updated print is going to be released on May 3d this year so I am going to wait until then. At the moment I am reading Robert Kiyosaki’s “Conspiracy Of The Rich”. It has certainly opened my eyes a little and I am only 50 pages in!
Have fun.
Jacinta
Hi Jacinta, How are you and baby doing? I have read some of Roberts books and he’s pretty good about money, the economy and how it all works. I will have to read the Conspiracy. If only 50 pages opens your eyes, it must be good!!
The class is good, I was in Permalink Hell yesterday, but got it figured out. I was in a class with Dean Holland last Summer, and we learned out way around WordPress. I have a ton of info on settings and plugins.
Hope all is well over there and thanks for stopping by!!
Lisa~
Holy moly! I had to leave another comment. The changes you made to your blog look awesome! It looks even better, and more professional than your last theme, and I really liked your last them. Keep the post coming. Can’t wait for your next one! Awesome job Lisa Hernandez!
Ed
