Have YOU ever joined a giveaway? You know those JV Giveaways where everyone’s cool freebies are up for grabs??

Well, first of all, to sign up for a giveaway, you need a product to give away.

Do you have a product you can give away? Something fresh and new that people want to give you their email address for?

What if you don’t have a product to give? (We’ll talk about that in a bit, I think I can help you out there!!)

Anyway, I used to do giveaways, but stopped because of the time it takes to get all signed up. Way too much work!!

K, hold on now, let’s back up for any one new here…a JV Giveaway is where you put your opt-in free gift (like a report, interview, video or something) into a temporary membership-like site and people who are looking for what info you have to offer sign up for your gift and get put on your mailing list.

This is called list building. (Remember the money is in the list quote? This is the list ‘they’ are talking about.) Giveaways are a fast and easy way to start building your subscriber base!

After having a product, you need to upload it to your site, get a squeeze page and a download page and then there are special offers, upsells, downsells, upside-down sells (haha), text ads, images, etc. The list goes on and on…I wrote a little about it here

Now after you set up your account, write all your text ads and get your links all saved and your product image uploaded, you have to do the same for the next giveaway.

BLAH! BLAH! BLAH!

AND THAT’S WHY I STOPPED DOING GIVEAWAYS! TOO MUCH WORK!

Time consuming stuff!!

So my bud, Keith Purkiss, gave a few of his close friends’ access to Push Button Giveaways 2.0 for some testing a while back and I haven’t been a diligent friend and doing my part (Sorry Keith!!).  So to make up for my flakiness,  I went on his webinar the other day (for moral support, I thought) and he showed what this site could do!

First of all…you only have to set up your gift once! No more copy/pasting, finding your info, forgetting where your gift, images, and download pages are on your site. Just find it once, enter it into the database once and it’s there….stored for you so you can just hit a button (or 2) It also stores your password to the giveaways and your affiliate link!

AND…if you don’t have a gift of your own…Keith has a few already set up you can use! All ya gotta do is push a button (or 2)! He also has text ads and special offers you can use if you don’t have your own!!

How stinkin cool is that? Yay!!

Then….he also has videos to show you how to get things set up, how to join a giveaway, how to set up your special offers, etc. He’s got it all taken care of!!

Now this is the cool part….

He has an email generator, a web page, a giveaway page, banners and tracking!! So you can get all set up with your links in no time!! He also has training videos for all the above so if you can’t figure things out (like me), you can just go to the video and viola!! Step by step training!!

Let’s talk about some FACEBOOK. 

Do you know how many people have a Facebook account? Over 600 million!! That’s the size of  a large country!! The USA only has 300+ million people! And we are talking ACTIVE Facebook users and it’s growing everyday! It’s HUGE!! And at least 50% of these users log in on a daily basis!! Let’s see….50% of 600 million…..uh….LOTS (actually it’s 300 million…let me write that out…..300,000,000 Facebook users logging in daily!!)

How would you like to tap into that traffic?

Even huge companies who advertise on TV and magazines have realized the benefits of being on Facebook. Have you seen their TV commercials? They say blah blah blah go to Facebook.com/ourcompany and “like” us and you can get blah blah blah. You know, huge companies like Coca Cola, Kraft foods, McDonalds, Bath and Body Works, etc. They all have Facebook like/fan pages!

Talk about some advertising and brand recognition!!

Hmmm….Let’s say Bath and Body Works is having their buy 2 get one free sale on body products. Are you going to hear about that on TV? Maybe. If you are like me, you don’t watch TV very much and the little bit you do watch has been recorded and you skip through all those commercials.

Now if you ‘liked’ Bath and Body Works on their Facebook page, that little blurb about the B2G1 sale is going to be posted on your wall!

Now that’s cool.

So…don’t ya think these big companies know something about advertising? They pay gazillions of dollars for TV commercials, ya think they might know something? Maybe just a little….hmmm.

Well, McDonalds has over 8 million fans and Kraft foods has over 600 thousand! (Bath and Body Works has over 1.7 million!!) And every time one of these companies wants to reach their market (the people who by their stuff) they just write it on their page. DUH! and then it goes to these hundreds of thousands (or millions!!) of Facebook fans (the people who buy their stuff!!)and….and….

Ka Ching!!

IT’S FREE ADVERTISING!!! Yes, folks……FREE ADVERTISING for these huge companies and talk about brand recognition!! (what could that do for your business??)

So you say OK, OK…. I totally understand the power of Facebook and all the users and advertising and all of that, but where are you going with this? Stats totally bore me!!

Well, a fan/like page is pretty much like your own little mini website and it’s displayed on Facebook where you can promote yourself and your products to anyone who ‘likes’ your page. And if you had your OWN fan/like page you could grow your business or brand and your page could go viral! You know…your customer ‘likes’ your page and it goes on their page and their friends and customers see your like page and then they ‘like’ your page and so on and so on and so on! This increases your exposure to new folks who you wouldn’t normally meet!

How freekin cool is THAT????

So how do ya get your own like page? Does it cost anything? Can I do it myself??

Free Like Page Builder

In any kind of Internet Marketing Business whether you are on online entrepreneur or have a brick and mortar business that is doing it’s marketing online, you need to build up our customer and subscriber base. In order to do that, you need to capture their email address. If you send emails to people who haven’t given you their email address, it’s called spam and there are hefty fines for spamming peoples emails, so ya don’t want to do that!

So have a reason for people to give you their email address. Something like a free guide or report for people to opt in for and give you their email address. People who are interested in what you do. I build my list around blogging. I like to blog, set up blogs, tweak them and make them very customized. That’s what’s fun to me! if I could make blogs all day, I would!

Then after a few minutes, you will receive an email to the email address you put in there that will ask you to confirm that you want information from me. Once you confirm,  you will be taken to the download page for your goodies! This is all automatic. Yay! I am not sitting here sending all my subscribers thank you and confirmation emails all day!

On the thank you page and the download page, I have some free offers from my friends and some of them have upsells and some of them don’t.

Apparently my thank you page works! I have had quite a few people grab my freebies AND also purchase some of the products that are offered.

Do y’all know what happens when people purchase really cool things from your thank you page? Ya get paid!! YAY!!

I have actually made some money online! How cool is that? Woo-hoo!!

I learned about having a thank you page a few months ago from a fellow marketer and it is prime real estate! Not only does it look more professional, it also has space for some great advertising for some affiliate programs that I think are news worthy!

Your download page is another place you can put links to your stuff or other people’s stuff. Just remember if you are promoting something to your readers, you should always check it out first!! I learned that the hard way I promoted something in my learning days that I thought would help and it turned out to be crap (but I really liked the graphics!) And I pissed people off.  Not cool.  Sorry about that!

So now that you know all about thank you pages and real estate, let’s get on to the good stuff!!
