Pay It Forward
Ever heard of the movie “Pay It Forward”? It’s about different people who help strangers and all they want in return is that the stranger pays back the favor to someone else. Instead of Payback…It’s pay forward. Get it? Pay it FORWARD.
In my internet marketing business I have had a few of my marketing friends help me out, sometimes with little things like telling me how to use a php thingy, or big things like purchasing me some videos I wanted just because.
I like to pay things forward. It feels good! You know when a friend or someone needs a little help or something and you just do whatever it takes to make sure this person gets what they need. Like if someone needs an extra buck or 2 for lunch. And you don’t ask for anything in return. Just tell them to give it to someone who needs it someday.
Maybe it’s just a few bucks to help a fellow marketer out who is in a pinch, a class for a friend, or something really awesome that my friend or subscriber could really benefit from. Paying it forward.
And this month, my Pay it forward was a FREE 6 month subscription to More Monthly for a very good friend of mine. YAY!
If y’all didn’t know, More Monthly is a paid membership site owned by Randy Smith with downloads to ebooks, reports, videos, software & the BEST and I mean BEST forum I have ever seen!! Not only are the products the coolest out there, and there are new ones uploaded every month…I have also met some of the coolest people there and I recommend the site to EVERYONE!! OK, back to my pay it forward. I want to help not only my friends, but my subscribers, too!!
Helping is a good thing. What would YOU as a subscriber to my blog (see new Panda RSS feed button over there on the right) think would be a cool pay it forward favor? Not like a gazillion dollars (although that would be cool!!), but something you want and could truly use and it would make your life a little easier?
Is there a product that has been on your mind or a subscription to a site that makes you happy (like More Monthly) Maybe an upgraded account in a really hot awesome giveaway? Custom Graphics? A gift card to Amazon for a hard cover book or CD you have been wanting?
Maybe you aren’t an Internet Marketer in the Marketing Niche and need something to train your dog? Or recipes to feed your family?
Heck! I don’t know!

GREAT post Lisa. I like the pay it forward concept. My wife and I used to like to go through the toll roads when we used to go to Saddleback Church, and pay for the person behind us. Also, the other day this guy in line in front of me at the store forgot his wallet, so he had to go out to his car to get it. I told the cashier that I would pay his bill for him. The cashier was shocked, and it felt good to do something for someone without expecting something in return.
OK, so on to what you can do for us. Why don’t you show us how you got your avatar in your tab at the top of the page… uh, via Camtasia video perhaps?
Again, GREAT post and keep up the good work on you blog. It looks great.

hey Ed!! I have a GREAT idea!! YOU could pay it forward to me(without expecting anything in return….) and drive over here to my house and SHOW me how to use Camtasia, then I wouldn’t have to watch all these videos and do the trial and error thing and I could get my book done faster! YAY!

Ed, you are Flo are awesome! I bet those folks on the toll road thought you were CRAZY! I mean, we live in So Cali….not a lot of giving going on here! I’ve been know to do some stuff like that too!

Pay it Forward. Haven’t seen the movie but I love the concept.
I personally think we can’t stress it enough, specially in the times like this when one only thinks about themselves and lives becoming busier, paying it forward can bring back the little deeds that cause happiness and for a moment, make one realize that we are ALIVE.
I practice Pay it Forward in my own little ways too. I give without expecting in return whenever possible. [not meaning to brag here] but I’d like to emphasize from here on to whoever I give, to pay it forward and thus create a ripple effect.

Hey Maddi!! Y’all don’t have Netflix over there? maybe y’all should get it!?! Very cool movie about strangers helping people out just for the heck of it! Love it…Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt and a little guy. Very cool, can y’all buy it over there?? It’s pretty old, OK maybe even before you were born! Haha! (not really, I think it came out in 2000)

Thank you Mike for coming over here to visit! I just barely met Khai and have been checking out his stuff. I literally met with him on like Friday and we have been emailing each other everyday since!! He’s GREAT!! I am very excited for him and his launch!
And that makes it all worth while!!
